Silk Rose - May 17, 1994 by Laura Knight
Dreams
Cascade upon her
Like Dogwood petals
In late spring.
Nightmares
Vanish from memory
As if fear
Never existed.
Azure skies
Replace the grayness
That once
Smothered her soul.
The future's brightness
Makes her dim past seem
Like a bad dream that will soon
Fade away into nothingness.
Her life begins today
With her true love beside her
The love that was always there
Waiting for her to accept
Her fate of never-ending
Happiness and undying
Love.
Dreams, that once
Were rainbows
Are now as tangible
As a silk rose.
The kind of beauty
That never dies.
